U.S.A. Massachusetts

Hi, this forum have been helpful in our decision to move to Boston, I am a nurse and hoping to find a hospital that will provide a relocation allowance and sign in bonus. We will be moving from KY and hoping for a better life in MA. Me and my husband were both nurses , tried applying online to Beth Israel and St Elizabeth, still waiting for response, since our move date is in April 1, of this year. Pls help me I need your advice. Any places to find cheap rentals temporarily until we find a job? We will be visitng this February to hunt more jobs. I still have a contract till March 30 here so cant quit yet. Thank you in advance. God Bless.

Why not try travel nursing, they will provide you with an apartment and travel expenses. I don't know of any Boston area that will provide you with a bonus or relocation expenses.

Tip applying online is not the way to go, you need to talk to someone.

Good Luck.

Although the pay is higher than KY, the cost of living is very high.

We only applied online because that what the hospital said, but we will apply personally this Feb and if necessary provide another resume.. Don't want to be a travel nurse because we want to just settle down , we have been through that for 10 years now and it is hard to keep on changing jobs. Thank you for your advice.Ky is cheap, good place to raise family but boring and we have a bad experience.

My experience even as an internal candidate applying online is a waste of time.

If you bring lots of experience and are flexible you should have no trouble finding a position. Many of the travelers are people looking for permanent employment and it is a great way to check out a hospital, plus they will pay for you to relocate and provide a place to stay. But I can understand the need to find a home.

No relocation, and bonuses are usually for the OR or other hard to place units.
