Hi everyone. I was just looking for some Maryville NP students or new grads to chat about the online NP program. I'm starting the AGPCNP program in January and it would be great to have contacts to discuss the program with! Thanks!!

Hello there! I’m thinking of applying for the same program at Maryville. How is the experience going for you so far??

Hi ladies I’m in my second semester of the same track. So far it’s ok. Definitely a lot of self discipline needed! But the online system, canvas, is pretty easy and user friendly. My friend is also doing the program. As far as instructors, they vary just as any other school. Some respond quickly and others not so much. Since it’s distance learning you have to be ok with that (which are first I was NOT!). It’s hard to not have a physical classroom or professor office to go visit, so what I found is I rely a lot on my classmates and that’s been great. Work load is fine, these particular classes have a ton of writing assignments. (Nursing theory, Evidence Based practice, etc). So be ready for that!
good luck! Let me know if I can answer anything else!

Thanks for your honesty. I am about to start my PMHNP program this May 4. This is my first time taking an online school, but I am very excited! Good luck on the rest of your school year.
