Marymount U - Spring 09 Anyone Got Their Letter Yet?

I have applied and been accepted at another school but would like to know if I got into Marymount.

Anyone been accepted or heard anything about dates??

I just got my acceptance letter yesterday and I am going for sure. I am from CA, so it'll be quite a move, but looking forward to it!

I got mine last Friday :) I applied really early....like Aug i think....guys, if u live in VA do not forget to submit the TAG app.....$12,000 grant for school :D

I received my acceptance letter on Saturday and super excited to be finally starting the program!

I'm now starting to get everything in place....cpr, background check, medical clearance...there's so much to do! Its strange because in the acceptance packet, they don't mention the cpr requirement or background check. Maybe they inform you that you need to complete those things after you mail in the deposit??

Anyhow, anyone have any tips on being prepared or other things I should know about? I'm a bit worried because we don't get our Spring schedule until orientation and classes start the following week! Eek.

That's interesting. My packet did have all the info on health req's and cpr class and background check. You should call them and tell them you didn't get that info. It's really helpful.

As far as the schedule, I was told to contact Dr. M**** about registration. I am pretty sure we will sign up for classes before orientation...but maybe I'm wrong.

Ok thanks Maverick. Yeah, thats so strange that they didn't send it to me..I called MU today and asked them if it was mandatory to have it done prior since I saw it online.

Well, I hope we sign up for classes before hand....I'm just overwhelmed with what to expect..seems like it took forever to finally get into the program and now its approaching so quickly.

Background check??? i didn't get that in my packet....i got everything else...do they do the background check or what? I mean i have nothing on mine but i was wondering how it works.....but i got my cpr and gonna do all the medical stuff next week....btw do you guys wanna be friends :)? I know this sounds childish but if we work as a team we may do extremely well :D.......i'm gonna send my deposit this week....also i was wondering if i can purchase my books so i can get a head start......anyway, hope to hear from you guys soon....

Hi Russian, sure we can be friends! PM me once you get your classes and we can see if you have any of the same ones.

I emailed Dr. M to inform her that I mailed in my deposit as well and she said they were finalizing the spring schedule...and should get back to me w/details within a couple of weeks.

Anyway, yes you need to complete a background check. Its about $50 and when I went to the website-- said it only took a couple days to complete.

Its in the 'health requirements' section on the MU nursing page.
