Where do you live? You are talking about two completely different hospital venues that cater to two completely different clientele. I have no idea why Boca is wanting a lickety split answer from you by tomorrow, I sense it may be a test of your desperation to be employed and it's a way to let you know who's in the driver's seat. So for the breakdown:
1. BOCA: difficult high maintenance, "I'll have your job" patients from New York coupled with difficult high maintenance get in your face, not up to date doctors ( in many instances).
Located in the promised land of South Palm Beach County where no one ever dies.
They do have a good women's center though.
2. Martin: Whittlin' on a stick clientele. Located in Martin County. Somewhat more laid-back and less drama. Fewer high maintenance patients. So it will depend on where you live and your tolerance for whether the threat of whether a patient's son or daughter who is always a doctor or a lawyer means anything to you.

Hi all!
I'm a new grad RN with a BSN. I was just offered a position at Boca, but am torn. It is my first offer and I have two more interviews next week. The problem is, I have to let Boca know by tomorrow.
Does anyone have info on Martin Health's Nurse Residency program? Specifically, I am wondering what departments can be the home departments? Like ICU, NICU, etc. And also what the starting pay is? I have an interview with them next week.
I am having a really tough time deciding between a for sure position that I am not crazy about and a potential position.
Thanks in advance for your help and advice!
