Maricopa Advanced Placement LPN to RN

Published

Hi everyone,

I just took my HESI PN and applied yesterday with Maricopa Nursing for advanced placement into Block 3. There isn’t a lot of info out there about getting in. Most of it is about traditional placement and I hear “oh, advanced placement is totally different, a lot.”

Anybody else who recently applied?

I am hoping to do the CEP with GCU (AAS to MSN) but I am still waiting to hear back from the advisor. I am taking Human Pathophysiology starting July 15th, 2019 and then Microbiology at GWCC in the fall 2019. I have everything else done.

Hope you hear from someone. ?

Lori

Hey there !

For those of you who bridged from LPN to RN. Did you complete your LPN at Gateway and then apply for the RN program? If so is there a wait between the two ? I'm interested in doing the LPN and bridging over. I just want some insight from someone who did the LPN then bridged over all while attending Gateway.

Thank you in advance ?

I finished lpn in May 2019 and got right into the fall RN cohort august 2019. Graduated May 2020. Block 3 will be a lot of the same info from lpn just deeper and from RN perspective. Block 4 is more challenging since it is completely new info that builds on concepts from all blocks. And even though block one and two of RN And lpn should be the same, they are slightly different and you’ll have to make up the learning curve. Very doable though. Good luck to you.

Thank you this was exactly what I was looking for! Good luck to you as you complete your program ❤
