Could someone please explain "mandation?" Can someone be mandated in advance, like days or even a week? Can someone be mandated via a message left on an answering machine? Or does mandation only apply if you are already there? Just how does this mandation thing work? Abunch of us nurses where I work are really confused about this mandation thing.Thank-you in advance for any insight
Sorry, I am not familiar with this. Anybody else?
I worked H&I for our state's veterans commision, they mandated full time workers there. Being H&I I could not be mandated. Mandation was when someone was mandated to stay after their scheduled shift was completed. Usually due to someone calling in. There was a list kept of who had been mandated if your name was at the top you stayed over. As far as I know only those who were working at the time could be mandated. They were not payed over time for the extra shift, but would get an extra shift off later on. I would check with the policies were you are working for details.
Hope this helps.
