Hello all I just wanted to start a thread for those of us applying for the CCC Malcolm X nursing program fall 2016! The deadline is May 29th! Anxiously waiting for a reply! Anyone else on this boat????????
Does anyone know how many days a week we would be going to school? I know this includes lecture and clinicals. I might have to quit my job and get a waitressing job but I want to make sure I'm not quitting if I don't need to. I looked at the schedule of classes on my.ccc.edu but it doesn't help much.
I went to Truman College for most of my pre-req classes. Do I have to send a transcript from one community college to another (Malcolm X)? I've called Truman and they say yes and I call Malcolm X and the girl says no since they are both City Colleges. I don't want to spend any more money than I have to (yes I know it's only $5) but I don't want to miss turning in something before July 15th.
I had been dealing with this issue for the pass two days. After applying for a transcript and got one yesterday for $10 (waste), I spoke with the registrar at Malcolm X today. He told me I don't need to submit any transcript to Malcolm X since it's CCC. He even asked for my ID number and accessed my info. The only thing he asked me to do is get my high school diploma evaluated since I attended high school out of the US.
Hi! Can anyone tell me how the LPN program at malcolm x is who got in? I spoke to a few students who sre about to graduate with their RN but who had an LPN prior who told me they'd recommend doing the lpn program first then the RN program since it'll be a better transition. I'm not sure what to do. Is the program at Malcolm X good? Are the teachers good? Did anyone go directly straight into the RN program after? If so, how long is the length of the program doing the LPN program first? Thanks!
Can you give me any insight on how the program and professors went for three LPN program? I'm thinking of applying to the lpn prior to the RN program at malcolm x since after speaking to a few nurses they advise me that would be the best way since the RN program is super accelerated even though it's not an accelersted program. What is your take? Thanks!
