Making the Grade

Hi everyone. I am new to this site and actually came across it because I was looking for a place where I could talk about nursing school with people who would understand. I'm in my second year of a 2 year program in Minnesota. I feel so lucky that I've made it this far, but I'm starting to lose some of my confidence. I'm doing well in my theory grade (lecture exams, on which I got an A on our first test were the class average was a 70%) but I just got my grade back on an IV worksheet we were required to do, which is considered Theory Application. It's required to have a 75% to pass and I managed to do that...but not by much. The average grade for this assignment in my class was an 82%. Right now I'm struggling because I spent so much time on this assignment and to just barely pass has really devestated me. I don't really have a question out there for anyone..but I was hoping that there would be at least one other person out there who can identify with this situation. I guess I just needed to vent. Thanks for listening.

Good luck to you. It's always the best students who are devasted by a passing grade. Don't look back. Keep moving forward doing what you have to do to make it through. You've got what it takes. It's a tough, often demoralizing program.

Welcome!

Welcome. Don't get discouraged. Keep trying. I was the same way in nursing school. I am a perfectionist. If I didn't get a grade I thought was good enough, I beat myself up. :banghead: Bad thing to do. It drove my family up a wall! Oh well. I made it through and I'm sure you will to. :balloons: :icon_hug:
