Maine College of Health Professions Nursing Fall 2017

Published

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone one else has or is planning on applying for the Fall 2017 class of nursing? I have the submitted everything and am just waiting on my transcripts to arrive. I have applied for early admission. I will also be taking the HESI exam in January. I'm very excited. I hope to hear from some other prospective classmates.

Thanks,

Sean

I am in my last semester at MCHP! You will love it here! Good luck :)

No way!!! Id love to chat with you about your experience!!

Yeah definitely!

How can I get ahold of you?

I have taken my HESI A2 entrance, and submitted my application for early acceptance. Now it is just a waiting game. Admissions office told me I would hear by the end of Feb. I can not wait to hear either way. I will be checking everyday online to see if there is a change in my status.

I will give an update!

This next month or so is going to be a month of torture. It has only been six day since taking my HESI and submitting my completed application for early acceptance. I'm already driving my self nuts with checking on the Sonis web portal to see if there is any changes

:Pre-Entry) . I need something to keep my mind off it for the next few weeks hahaha. I hope to hear either way sooner than later. They told me I would know before the end of Feb. Que the Jeopardy theme song

Well I heard from my school today. I feel very happy and kinda bummed at the same time. They did not reject me but did not accept me either. The offered a spot in the Pre Health (general ed classes) and if I can meet the required grades and a min. of 12 credits I will be guaranteed a spot in the nursing program the following year. I'm bummed because I would prefer just going to school and gaining my RN in 2 years.....This will make it 3 years.(just like everyone I have life to pay for and my 3 children to provide for) I'm excited because they saw the drive and the potential I have to be successful even with a long gap since being in school and not doing well when I was so young and dumb. :)

I know this is similar to going through the CC and doing the general ed classes first. Has anyone done anything like this? What was your experience like? Any feed back you could give I would appreciate.
