i will be applying for the nursing program in jan 2012 i want to know how macon state picks the people for the program. do they look at your GPA or do they look at each individual grade in your classes. also do they look at your TEAs scores as well. someone please help who has been through the program.

I haven't been through their program, but from what I've heard they take all of what you stated into account. I can't say too much, since I haven't partaken in any of their programs, but I do recommend weighing your options, by talking to other schools close to the area. I'm currently a student at Middle Georgia Technical College and so many students have transferred from MSC to MGTC because of how long they've had to wait on the waiting list. MGTC only offers an LPN Program, but my adviser and many other students praise the bridge program in Tifton at ABAC for the LPN-to-RN program. There's so much less waiting pools involved. I'm not by any means saying to take that route, but I wasn't sure if you knew of this option, because before I was told, I didn't know there was a college that offered a bridging program this closely to our area. I wish you the best of luck in applying wherever you decide!
thank you so much!!! yes i have heard of the program my mother is an LPN and she is going to do the bridge. i might depending on how long i have to wait because when i go into this program i have already finished my core and if i have to keep waiting ill just finish off all the cores for the BSN program. thank you though if i am stuck sitting around i might just do that or possibly move and take it somewhere else. thank you so much!!! you were helpful so ill just keep my figures crossed and find out after i apply
