Well, another year means another time for more score updates. I am getting ready to take my HESI in a couple weeks to apply for the 2012 Nursing Program and I must say I am really beginning to get nervous! Thanks to their recent addition of HHSC-1040 (right before I was apply ) I am just curious how everyone did, and what was it like this year? I have no clue what to expect and I have been searching forever. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am really not worried about the Math or Grammar sections. I'm more worried about the Vocabulary, Reading, and A&P section that they added. Any advice would be great. I already have the Evolve HESI book that I have been reviewing from for the past couple of months. I'm still just really nervous.
I don't have a HESI score yet, but my GPA to apply for the program is: 3.925.
Again, any advice would be grand!
I received my letter as well. I wasn't expecting any letters until later in the month, so it was a surprise. Now the nerves really start kicking in. I have a 94 on the HESI and a 3.6516 GPA. The GPA is what is making me nervous. Much lower than I had hoped for, but the B+ in A/P really lowered it. Hopefully everything will work out.
I agree, let's keep this thread going. Nice to talk with people over the next few weeks until we find out.
I also got the letter on friday. i read the first sentence and wanted to cry. Then i realized it was not a rejection letter and thank goodness for this site its so great to hear other people got the same letter. Now we are jusst a couple weeks from knowing. I also hope othe applicants join on here. Fingers crossed all and before we know it those letters will be here:)
I applied with a 96 Hesi, but only 3.4 gpa. I do not know how everyone is getting 4.0s! Some of those classes were super hard. Sounds mean, but I hope someone out there has a worse gpa than me... I really want to be a nurse!
That's the good thing about MCC being 50/50 hesi/gpa. Your really high hesi score definitely offsets the lower gpa, I don't think you'll have any problem getting in. Your total points for ranking can be higher than someone that has a 4.0 but a low hesi score.
I think (hope) with the amount of people being ranked this year, people with slightly lower gpa's may have a chance to make it in, of course I could be wrong and the majority of the 245 people that were ranked retook classes or just have 4.0's lol
