I had a swollen lymphnode right behind my ear, also my doctor said that I had many swollen ones in my throat...(near my glands) I was just wondering what exactly are lymphnodes and why would it be swollen?:kiss

Hi there. Have you recently had your ears pierced or maybe had a bad tooth on that side?
Lymph nodes filter bacteria and fight infection.
I had my ear pierced in september and no tooth aches
I also had a low white blood cell count and my mom wanted me to have another blood test done but the bill for the last one was way too high

you should definately see a doctor!
Swollen lymph nodes are no big deal most of the time. Your body may be fighting off an infection you don't even know about.
But add in that you had a low white blood count, you should really get things checked out. It could be something as simple as mono, or it could be serious.
Keep us updated and call the doctor!! :kiss
