LWTech Spring 2021 applicants

Hello! I just submitted my application for Spring 2021 Cohort to Lake Washington Technical College in Kirkland, WA. Is there anyone else out there who is planning to apply? I am trying to get a an idea of what I'm up against. ? Acceptances will not be sent until Feb. 26th so I have some time on my hands!

Hello!  I applied but my application wasn't the strongest it could have been, especially now that there's no essay, recommendation or points for AAS, BA, etc.  Still hopeful for sure and working as an MA in the meantime.  Dang! Feb 26th?!  I was hoping we would find out sooner.  Best of luck to you!

I know. I was disappointed when they took away the prior education points. How many points did you apply with? If you care to share?

I think it was around 58 points which is...not amazing out of 70 when it is so competitive.  I have completed Nutrition and Communication though so I'm hoping those will help if there's a chance of a tie.

Well good luck! I’m hoping there will be less applicants because of the COVID distributions but probably not. ?

I applied! I feel like my application is pretty strong. I’m a bit worried about my TEAS score which was 84.7. Good luck to you ☺️

That was my exact score too! Funny. My GPA is a little lower than their averages too. 3.82 for the courses they count. I was hopeful when they included prior education points because I have a a BA but now I’m worried the GPA/TEAS averages will be more competitive as more people can apply with the removal of the medical license and prior ED requirements. Good luck to you too!

I’m also worried about how much more competitive it will be without prior education points and the essay. It used to be that the essay was the biggest factor they looked at. My GPA is slightly over a 3.9 so I’m hoping it will help. I also finished nutrition, communications, and Microbiology.

I think you will get in! My friend got in for their Fall 2020 cohort with a 3.82 and an 82.7 on the TEAS and fall quarter is supposedly their most competitive quarter.  I have comm and micro done but not NUT. Are you applying anywhere else?

Do you guys get the acceptance?

No. I got declined. 84.7 TEAS and 38.2 GPA. 63.61 points. I’m bummed. I must have been close. Did you?

I got the same declined
