LVNS/LPNs who love your job—I want to hear from you!

Licensed practical/vocational nurses—do you love (or really like) your job? What do you do, and what setting do you do it in? What do you like most about your job?

Thanks in advance for your time. ?

My first LPN job was at a SNF. I worked there for 10 years and loved it for 8 years. After that we were so short staffed I often worked as a LPN/CNA. Get them up, dressed, bathed if it was their day. THEN do their treatments, meds and charting. It got to be too much and I couldn't take it anymore. I now work in a clinic. I like it but don't love it. I like not working short. I like having support when needed. I like not working weekends or holidays. BUT I miss the residents and spending time with them and their families. BUT I know it was a good move because my license was at risk and nothing was going to change. It still makes me sad though.

I’m an LPN in Alberta, Canada and I LOVE MY JOB SO MUCH!!!!
I work at a busy, inner city emergency room.
we see the people from all walks of life- homeless to the super rich and everyone in between. I work part time and worked really hard to get the job I have.

I work as a Lvn in Ca. Currently I'm working home health shift full time & a per diem Hospice continuous care. I love my job because its a low stress job. They pay a little bit lower compare to nursing home but I'm fine w/ that. I have experience too in nursing home & boarding care. I rather work in a job no stress than to work in a job w/ a lot of stress involve.
