LVN-to-RN Program at American River College-Sacramento

Is anybody currently in the bridge program at ARC or finished the bridge program at ARC? I would love to know your thoughts about the program.

kingkill My letter of contigent acceptance was in the mail today. I also recieved an acceptance email from Sac City too. Now I need to decide which one to accept.

While I can't comment on ARC's program, I can comment some about Sac City's. Once you pass the class over the summer, you'll be rolled into the 3rd Semester class and in the 2nd week of class, you'll be sent out to your clinical site. The regular classes run Tuesday and Wednesday, with clinical prep on Wednesday, and clinical usually on Thursday and Friday mornings from about 6:30 until about 2pm, unless your class has a PM group due to class size. That, if it happens, goes from about 2pm until about 7:30 pm, same clinical days.

You're very welcome. Sac City's LVN to RN program does result in an ADN, just like the ADN the "regular" ADN students earn. Your RN license won't be a "30 unit option" license.
