I completed an LVN program in California in 2005. When I was doing clinical rotations at Kaiser Hospital in Panorama City, I noticed that several of the surgical techs were LVNs.

I was told that a LVN can work as a Surgical Technician. But I was also told that you can go to a 8 week training as a LVN for Scrub Nursing and you get a certificate of completion. I'm unsure if you take a exam or not. You can work as a Scrub Nurse as a LVN but a Surgical Technician can't work as a LVN.

I'm unsure where you could get your Scrub Nursing in California as a LVN, but if you hear of it please post it, that's something I'd like to do.
