Any LVNs working with Derms doing laser removal or skin care? I am an esthetician and was wondering with my lvn if I would be able to work with a Derm or Plastic Surgen. Anyone? Salary? Any info would be appreciated. Mel

Most dermatologists and plastic surgeons prefer to hire medical assistants to work in their medical offices, because they can assist with laser treatments, skin care, and simple surgeries while being paid significantly less than LVNs. After all, the doctor is running a business, and he/she must do certain things to slash costs.

There is one member of this forum who is an LPN employed by a plastic surgeon, but she is a statistical rarity.
