I'm currently a lvn student in California once I pass my state exam how much longer would it take to get my rn licence? is the transition a long process or do I have to practice as an lvn for a certain amount of time?
I'm currently in an LVN program in California once I pass my state exam how much longer does it take to become an RN nurse? do I need to gain experience in lvn before going forward? any suggestions to the shortest route
You can start the RN program right after you graduate. No experience necessary. The major obstacle is getting a spot in the RN program as an advance placement student. In an ADN program you either get in 2nd or third semester, depending on the school.
I'm from NY and my school has an combined program.. LPN first year, RN in second year. Those who already LPNs can enter the second year and get their RN in one year. Most LPN to RN schools in NY are the same. Not sure if its the same in Cali.
