LVN to RN student

Published

hi everyone,

my name is christy and i am an lvn to rn nursing student. i have been an lvn for four and a half years. i worked for a year in med-surg, a year in primary care, a year and a half for a neurologist and have spent some time in the float pool. i am very excited to finally be going to back to school for my rn. i didn't plan on it taking this long but life happens and you have to plan accordingly. i have found already that if i don't take this program day by day i will quickly become overwhelmed. i tend to get very frustrated when it comes to studying. i will be quiting my job in a week or two and that will help but i find that i am trying to finish assignments that need to be turned in first and free time to study is being pushed aside. i still don't have a grasp on what will work best for me when it comes to studying but i think it will be easier when i stop working. i feel like if i can get through this first semester i will be fine.

good luck to everyone!

christy

In this terrible economy, new grads cannot be too picky. If you turn your nose up at nursing home jobs while you're waiting around for that elusive hospital job, you just might find yourself unemployed for a year or longer.

Good luck to you!
