Lvn to rn-retake jurisprudence or rescan fingerprints?

Published

I am a LVN in Texas and have completed the ADN-RN program. I have already had my fingerprints scanned for the state and completed the Jurisprudence exam through BON website before obtaining LVN license. My question is do I have to retake the Jurisprudence exam and have my fingerprints scanned again to take the RN NCLEX EXAM?? Thank you for any advice.

I just finished an lvn to rn program as well and I did not have to re-do the fingerprints or jurisprudence exam. I called to clarify and they told me that their computer system will pull up that you have already completed these, no need to do it again unless you have had something come up on your record recently.

When I completed an LVN-to-RN program last year and applied for my Texas RN license, all I had to take was the jurisprudence exam because I had never taken it previously.
