LVN to RN Carrington Program in Sacramento - Campus & Clinical Experience?

Published

Hello, everyone!

Communicating with and getting information from Carrington has been extremely difficult, so I'm hoping to get feedback from current and past students.

I got the acceptance call yesterday for their April 12 start. I was told about the upcoming orientation one week prior to the program start, and how we would be told of the "set schedule" for class, clinicals, etc.

The only somewhat reliable information I've gotten is my friend's co-worker graduated from Sac Carrington in May 2020 who said she only went to campus once per week.

What has been your experience with Carrington? How many times per week are you going to campus for instruction? How many days for clinicals?

Thank you!

Hi!

Would you mind sharing your schedule in Carrington? Thanks

2 terms, about 4 months each.

Both terms consisted of 1 all-day in-person class for lecture plus 2 days of clinicals.

About halfway through the 2nd/last term, we stopped going to class and started our preceptorship.

Some in my class got an assignment from the get-go and attended 2-3x per week. Some of us attended VSIMS for about 2-3 weeks before receiving our assignment.

I was part of the latter and still completed enough preceptorship hours to complete the program and graduate on time.

Thank You for your response. When you said " Some in my class got an assignment from the get-go and attended 2-3x per week. Some of us attended VSIMS for about 2-3 weeks before receiving our assignment.“ what does that mean??
