lvn to rn bridge program, licensure by examination

Published

so i have a question about lvn to rn bridge programs

i recently passed my nclex pn last week

heres my story:

my school didnt want to endorse me to take my nclex because their passing rate went down because of previous batches in my school. they added another test after the program so that theyre forsure youre going to pass there nclex. i got ****** off and didnt even ask them to endorse anymore. i went ahead and processed my own papers (licensure by examination).

after i passed my nclex i went back to my school to tell them i passed which made them mad because i passed and they didnt endorse me.

The DON at my school told me that because i took my nclex thru licensure by examination, i wont be able to take any bridge program.

my question:

is it true that i wont be able to take any lvn to rn bridge program because of the licensure by examination?

I think you need accreditation. Not sure. For my bridge they only needed a current license and a transcript from the LPN. So she could be wrong.

Check into schools that offer bridge program as they ultimately would have the answer for you.

Best wishes!

thank you, i am planning to talk to nursing councelor in a community college soon
