Anyone out there starting the LVN to RN bridge program this summer or have done this program? I wanted to know what to expect for the transition class as well as third semester RN class. Sorry misspelled bridge.

Hey,
I have also been accepted to the transition class and MAY take the TEAS test on Friday. I'm just not sure if I want to do this. I don't know if I have the energy, the will and/or the desire anymore. It's taken me 2 years to finish up the micro., nutrition and speech. How old is too old to do this?

I don't think you are ever too old and I was taught anything worth doing will be a struggle that is how you know your on the right track. I don't really have the desire to go back to school but I want to become a RN that is my desire so Im going to do what I have to. Just ask yourself where you want to be in another two three or five years. I hope you continue on but whatever you decide as long as your happy that is what matters.
Thank you so much. The encouragement is much appreciated. I just started studying for the TEAS test (Friday).
You got this don't stress

Charliesnurse: Dead is too old. As long as you're not pushing up Daisy Flowers, you're young enough. As to the TEAS test, do a practice test or two. If you do fine on that, you'll do fine on the real thing. Remember to breathe during the test. Breathing is very important... so says Mr. Miyagi. I tend to agree. If you're turning blue during the test, you probably won't do too well.
Thank you all so much. I made the decision to take the test Thursday morning. The test being Friday morning. I called around for a math tutor who came to my house that afternoon. I studied a few other things, took the test and passed with 80%. I guess I'm showing up for class in June.
@charliesnurse congratulations and I will be excited to see you this June. I am so nervous about this whole thing. I think more nervous than I was for my LVN program. Anyway congrats and see ya soon.
rninthemaking.....are you the one who sent me the message about starting a study group? my email is [email protected] I'm nervous, excited, scared and also feel fortunate to be going into the program!
