LVN program at EL Centro or Grayson County

Published

Hi all,

I plan on applying for admission to the Lvn program at el centro and grayson county ( Van Alstyne) I was just wanting to get some information on how hard is it to be accepted and what the programs are like. I would prefer to attend el centro but from what I hear it's which ever one I can get into. I am currently taking my last pre-req required for entrance as well as some other pre-requistes for later. I just started my job as a CNA so Im trying to get as many extra points as possible. Can someone that has attended anyone of these schools please HELP!!!!

Thanks!

Check out Kiamichi Technology Center-Durant, Okla. It is a great school and not to bad of a drive. It is right across the river from Denison. They just started a class so it will be summer before applications are accepted.

El Centro gets over 200 applicants for only 30 spots. Grayson gets about 450 applicants for the RN program for 70 or 80 slots. Im not sure how many applied for the LVN program. I have been concidering both schools as well. Anybody know Graysons pass rate? I heard it's really bad but im not sure if that is just a rumor.

Grayson LVN in Van Alstyne has about 300 applicants for 80 slots.

Their pass rate for LVN is excellent. 97.63% in 2007 as listed on the Texan BON site. RN pass rate is over 97% as well. I'd say the bad rate is just a rumor :wink2:
