LVN Program - Dallas Nursing Institute

Hi. I am wanting to start at DNI in August '13, but some of the reviews I have read has me a little worried. I went to the school's information session and was impressed with what I saw. I have also took my HESI (math and reading) and made an overall score of 98%. I can't apply for admission until the May program has started and just want to make sure I can become a successful nurse in this program. The option of me going to a community college is not realistic to me because of the wait list. Can any former/current students tell me about your experiences? Thanks.

Hey, Im curious about the program also. What has been everyone's experience with DNI?

Cost about four times as much and the passing rate is so low they are on probation with the state. Grayson community college doesn't have a huge waiting list.

I also have taken the HESI test and passed too. This program works well for me as well. I am going to go into the August 2013. I have a friend that is a prior graduate of DNI. She had nothing negative to say. I mentioned the negative reviews and as she said they were probably from students who didn't study and were not applying themselves. This requires a lot of your time of studying, and teaming up, which they suggested, with other students to study because it is hard on your own. I am nervous but excited to start this August. Maybe I will see you there? :D. Plus those comments are from 2011. I have not seen anything posted recently.

Jasminewilliams are you staring the August 2013? I can't wait! I have been wanting this for a long time! I am not letting those reviews ruin my excitement to start. plus they are old, look at the dates. It has changed a lot. Hopefully i will see you there! will keep my ears open! :). Plus need study buds!! Two more days!
