hello to everyone!!!!!!!!!!

i am going in on tuesday to sign up for the lvn pre entrance exam at baldy view rop here in southern california. i was told to expect some math, reading comprehension, and english. i was wondering if anyone on this site attended program first of all. how was it? i am a married, stay at home mother, with two elementary age children. i also have my bachelors degree in social work. what are some good preparation books for this exam? is it hard? i have been reading all day about how hard the exam was for most people and this has made me somewhat worried. should i be? i am so sorry for so may questions, just a little nervous about going back to school.

i took my prelvn exam about a couple days after i registered for the school i attended. It was pretty much basic math like addition/subtraction/multiplication... of decimal numbers. Very very basic. And basic reading/comp skills. They also tested me on Terminology which I didnt expected and i got the lowest and still passed it.

You'll do fine. Good Luck!!!

I took the HOBET for a school that I eventually decided against. It was basically just reading comprehension, grammar, and basic math. It also asked questions about any recent stresses you may have had recently (divorce, unemployment) that may affect your ability to concentrate. It was very long, about 3.5 hours.

Hello twandact!

I passed the test for the same program in November. I was curious to know if you passed your test. There might be a possibility that we might take LVN together at Baldy View!

hi txcna, there are lvn pre entrance exam books in barnes'nobles book stores, good luck to you!!

Thank you.I was looking on the internet all day.I was just about to give up...

Has anyone taken the PAX LPN/LVN entrance exam? Do you remember what it included? I took the PAX RN entrance exam and it was much more difficult than the HESI A2 I took for another school. I am considering doing the LPN/LVN route as I am on a waiting list for the RN program and I want to get started. I might even find that I enjoy doing the work more. Thank you for any information.

Has anyone taken the LVN entrance exam at Downey adult school? I noticed they have a pre-exam prep course which was already full when I signed up for the exam. Now I'm a little stressed! I am confident with the basics as mentioned in this post in regards to other schools but I was reading a book at borders and the book had some science questions that put fear in me! I'm freaking out just a little over here!
