LVN Orange County starting pay?

U.S.A. California

Published

Hi there,

My husband and I are debating relocating to Las Vegas or stay here but move closer to OC (he has a great job in OC now and we live in Cabazon...by Palm Springs...we can move to Corona but the rents are $2000+)

I graduate from Concorde in December.

Anybody know what LVN new grads start out in OC? I figure I'm going to have to start in LTC and then go where I truly want...L&D once I have my RN.

Any advice would be wonderful!

Thanks

Jo

Hi, Jo - I can't speak to your immediate question, but I was wondering how you feel about your experience at Concorde?

Thanks in advance :yeah:

HATE IT HATE IT HATE IT!!!

I can't speak for Concorde in general but my experience at the San Bernardino Campus has been horrible.

This is my 2nd attempt at a private school to get my LVN done. I started at another school and their pass rate dropped significantly and I left.

The problem I see with concorde is their lack of trained instructors. These instructors are burnt out nurses who could care less about their student's success. Luckily, I am used to teaching myself (I was on home study most of Jr. High-High school) so I have adapted quite well.

The clinical experience is great...if you get a good facility with nurses who let you help.

If the community colleges were a better option I'd say go there but if you're like me and not getting any younger a private college is our only option.

Good luck

Jo

Yep, I'm kind of in the same boat. Thanks for your opinion :nuke:
