LVN/LPN process

Published

Hi,

I'm a male student; almost done with my CNA course and preparing for for the test. At the same time i'm in community college also for the LVN/LPN associate degree. Is this major similar to the RN process? where we have to be able to get enroll to the LVN program after graduating with the associate degree? or is it more like once you get your associate degree in LVN/LPN you can apply directly for the NCLEX-P license test? Please advise.....i'm very confuse.

thanks,

Phia

The process varies from school to school. Perhaps the nursing program advisers at your school can clarify and answer some of your questions.

I'm making this suggestion because the associate degree in practical/vocational nursing is rare these days. The vast majority of us who obtained LPN/LVN licensure completed certificate or diploma programs.
