I have to take the TABE test and nervous about the applied math word problems. I believe its my test anxiety taking over and my mind just goes blank. Anyone taken the TABE or similiar? I hear they all are quite similiar when it comes to reading, math, and language. This will be my second time taking this test. I have been studying but want to feel confident. I know its timed and something like 25min for 30 questions.

Go to Khan Academy online....it's free! This web site was phenomenal in helping me pass my entrance exam for LVN school!! I've been out of school for 27 years and needed to brush up on everything!!! Tremendous help! Good luck to you!
Awwww Thank You! I take my test in a few days and really trying to get these word problems down. I have searched on this site and found that most of the word problems are work rate, discount, sales tax, perimeter, fencing word problems, percent increase/decrease, graphs, and of course addition, percentage, decimals, fractions.
There are some basic algebra questions on the test so you'll need to make sure you have good knowledge in Algebra and also some basic geometry. Hopefully Khan Academy is of some help. I know it was immensely helpful to me. Good luck!!
Thank you. Yeah I'm going over each section. My nerves is from finishing on time on each part especially the reading.
