Hey all.

I am having a bit of a hard time on deciding if i really want to invest the time and money to become a nurse. All i know is that i really like spending time with people. I have several yrs of experience as working as a nanny and I really enjoy being with kids and helping them. I do not see myself working in a office at all.

However i am not sure if I wanna do this the rest of my life. I am kinda lost and the moment and i really have to do some serious soul searching.

instead of going straight in the BSN degree i am thinking of getting an LVN diploma first. So i will have the option whether i want to continue in the nursing field or not. Will it be possible to get an RN degree later on?do such "bridge programs" really exist? has anyone experience with that?

thank you very much for your answer!

If you have the time & no commitments then I would suggest getting your BSN.

But if you need to start working right away you can always get your LVN.

Yes you can bridge from LVN to ADN then BSN. It all depends on what you want to do. Also look at the job market in your area. Are they hiring LVNs or ADNs?
