LV/PNs in Orthopedic/sports medicine

Published

I am a nursing student and am very interested in Orthopedics. So I was wondering if there were any LV/PN's in Orthopedics, sports medicine etc and if so what kind of things/tasks do they do and what kind environment they work in.

You could possibly secure employment as an LPN on a medical/surgical orthopedics floor of a hospital where you'd be providing care for patients who've undergone hip replacements, knee replacements, open reduction surgeries to correct fractured limbs, and so forth.

Also, you could secure employment as a rehab nurse at a specialty acute rehabilitation hospital where a sports medicine physician oversees programs to get weak patients reconditioned through physical therapy, occupational therapy, and (if needed) speech therapy.
