HELP! I have a huge paper due on the nurses role with a lung cancer patient and lung cancer in general along with a pathophys map, care plan, and concept maps. Can anyone assist me with some good sites to use for this? I have a lot of information, but I need a lot more so far. I also need assistance with the pathophys because I have acquired so much information. Any good sites that anyone may be familiar with? It would be great.

the best cancer information is on the website of the national cancer institute. you can find the weblink for it on this thread:
there is information on how to create concept maps in nursing on this sticky:
use the nursing process to help you organize and put together the actual plan of care:
[*]determination of the patient's problem(s)/nursing diagnosis (make a list of the abnormal assessment data, match your abnormal assessment data to likely nursing diagnoses, decide on the nursing diagnoses to use). it helps to have a book with nursing diagnosis reference information in it. there are a number of ways to acquire this information.
[*]planning (write measurable goals/outcomes and nursing interventions)
[*]interventions are of four types
[*]care/perform/provide/assist (performing actual patient care)
[*]teach/educate/instruct/supervise (educating patient or caregiver)
[*]manage/refer/contact/notify (managing the care on behalf of the patient or caregiver)
[*]implementation (initiate the care plan)
[*]evaluation (determine if goals/outcomes have been met)
