LTAC vs Hospital

Hi guys I had a question. I'm having a hard time finding a days acute care position in Los Angeles. My recruiter offered a Kindred facility which to my understanding is an LTAC facility. I was wondering if employers would be hesitant to hire someone in the hospital setting after working at an LTAC? My experience is in pcu/telemetry and med/tele. Should I be patient and wait for something that fits my experience, or should I try this new LTAC experience? My current assignment ends tomorrrow and I would like to start a job soon. Thanks for your opinions!

Kindreds are usually separately managed units that lie within an acute care hospital so it is completely possible to upgrade your resume (or work history item) with only a small amount of fudging (which is the purpose of a resume, right?). Besides which, my understanding is the LTACs can be more challenging than regular medsurg. But there is likely a perception issue to overcome with acute care hospital managers.

As always, I recommend you get your own written reference from every assignment. You can put the name of the hospital on it rather than the Kindred name.
