I somehow managed to screw up my alarm clock and ended up missing an ENTIRE day of clinicals I'm going to talk to my instructor soon but I was wondering if anyone else has gone through this before. Am I going to fail the class for missing 9 hours?? Or will they make me make it up or just deduct points? I'm freaking out!!
Any help would be so lovely to ease my mind a bit...
EDIT: syllabus says that I can miss up to 13.5 hours without failing. However, it does not say what will happen to my grade or if I will need to make up the lost hours.
Thanks

Refer to your syllabus. It should spell out the attendance policy.
It says that you can miss 13.5 hours without failing, but not what happens. I don't know if I will be making up the lost hours, or if my grade will take a nose dive

At my school you would make up the hours. However there is a process to follow when calling off for clinicals and if you fail to follow that process you can be given an unsatisfactory for that clinical day. Our clinicals are pass/fail, you have to pass clinical to pass the course, however it does not affect our lecture grade.
Also, all of that should be in your policy and procedure book if you have one, we had to buy one first semester. That info was not in our syllabus since it applied to all the semesters of clinicals.
