Obviously LSU will be cheaper. Even if paying out of state tuition. William Carey is a private university and will hence be very expensive. Also, you will be able to network better with a degree from LSU as opposed to WC.
Thanks, and I'm looking at your username and wondering if chemistry really do suck, because I am taking that for the fall semester

I am Charity Graduate(2011) who was faced with the same issue. Charity vs LSU. I pick Charity for obvious reasons: Cheap, quick, historic program. Well, I know a lot about LSU being that I am starting there RN-BSN program which take roughly two semesters.
LSU is great school over William Carey. WC is a private school so if you decide to leave many of your credits will not be transferable. William Carey is struggling to keep there accreditation based on the nursing advisee and my fellow friend who attended WC for two semester and literally ran from the school.
LSU is big on theory and coursework. You do not get a lot practical or hands-on skills until your 3-4 year. I was at University my very first semester and there was a LSU student doing her senior clinical rotation and she was so surprise to see us doing IM and SUB-Q injections on our first day on the unit.
If I was you I would pick LSU. Throughout school apply for nurse tech jobs this will make you more marketable. Being that Charity graduate at least 150-225 nurses a semester.
Wow! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE ADVICE, I really needed that.. So, your considering Lsu too? Good luck on your success and thanks again;-)
Yes, I always wanted to go to LSU, but my parents thought it would be great to attend Charity. Charity's reputations holds weight with nurse recruiters ( LSU too). The only reason I pick Charity was because I can go to school with all my expenses paid with the Pell Grant, no loans needed because it is really cheap, but tough program.
Now I am a new grad with no loans (from educational expenses). Now, I am looking for a job that will pay for my expensive RN-BSN program at LSU.
I am sure you will be fine, Good Luck.. And thanks again:-)
