LSC Kingwood Transition program?

Nursing Students LPN-RN

Anyone know the semester 2 and 3 schedule for Kingwood transition. I am trying to figure out if it will work with my kids schedule. From what I have read here, semester 1 is two four hour nights and one clinical. Thanks!

Following...I've applied for Fall 2016.

Ok. Just asked a current student. For those semesters she is in class Wednesday and Thursday (which means the upcoming class will be in class on Monday and Tuesday) from 5-7:20. The clinical day is one set day out of the week, Monday-Saturday (does not change) from 6:30-4:30.

So to clarify, you are saying classes will be from 05:00-1920 MonTues and Clinical rotations will be 06:30-16:30?

From my understanding that is correct. And then lab days at school start after 7:20 and usually go about 2 hours.

Wow, well that has me rethinking my working schedule. I'm currently in an ER working 1900-0700 3-4 days a week. Thank you for the response!!

Anyone out there apply to the Kingwood LVN to RN transition? (Starting in August 2016?)

Yes! I'm applying for this current fall semester, I took a missing math class and had sent my transcript from HCC to Lonestar back early in Jan of this year. The campus has shown that they've received my grades but have not "evaluated the class". Based on what I had placed in my scores, I believe my over all grade is a 6.89, so hopefully that's competitive enough to get in. Have you finished applying?

I too am applying for the upcoming program beginning August 29th. I submitted my application to Valerie at the campus 2 or 3 days after the application period was open. My application score was a 7.74, and I also personally know two other people who are applying. One is applying with a 7.69 and the other is applying with a 7.76.

The application window closes in a week, and from what Valerie told me, acceptance/denial letters will go out 2-3 weeks after that, so knowing that we are right around a month away from finding out is very exciting.

And for anyone who cares, I'm not big on the Facebook thing, but I did start a Facebook group for the upcoming transition class. You can search for it on Facebook, or send me a PM and I'll give you the link.

Good luck everyone!

I just took my HESI yesterday! I will finish my application this week. It was kind of a last minute decision to apply, and I'm glad I did! Good luck to you!!
