Can LPN's be assigned the role of preceptor for other LPN's during a six week orientation period?

Welcome to AllNurses :balloons: This would really depend on your nursing regulatory agency in Trinidad. You need to check with them :)

They can be in my facility however cannot pass meds with an LPN if they don't have their license. We do have quite a few GPN's and they shadow LPN's and watch med passes. They can however, do tx's by themselves.

Specializes in ICU, PICC Nurse, Nursing Supervisor.

If someone was training to be a LVN/LPN wouldnt you want them to be precepted by a LVN/LPN? Am I missing something here?
