Hi everyone. I am new to the forum so I hope I am doing this right. I am currently residing in Western New York and want to relocate to the Rochester, MN. area. Can anyone tell me how difficult it is to get a job working as an LPN in MN? I know from my experience here in NY state it is becoming increasingly difficult to get employment as an LPN anymore. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!

Hello, I am actually in the twin cities which is about 60 miles north west of Rochester. I was an LPN up until February of this year . I am an RN-ADN now, I sill work at my same clinic by choice. But when I was an LPN, I was able to find an LPN job. I worked at the clinic I work at now and I used to work at a Detox Facility. But Long Term Care is usually hiring, there are clinic jobs and home care. Hospitals not so much, its hard for ADN to get a job at a hospital right now. Good luck out there.
Thank You for your reply. Relocating is scary enough, let alone not knowing the job market :) It is good to know there are jobs available for LPN's. I love working LTC as well as in an office setting. I have one semester left for my ADN, hoping to find a good school there in MN once I am settled to finish it up. Again Thank You for your input its greatly appreciated!
