First off you should find out if you will even be eligible to take the NCLEX-PN exam after one year of RN school. There aren't many states that I'm aware of that allow this anymore.
Secondly if you plan on trying to get a job for 1 year as a LPN if you are eligible then take the exam.
If you don't then there really isn't any point in spending the money and time to take the exam.

Hi, all. I am a fairly new nursing student (first year, second semester of a 2-year ADN program). I would love to get some opinions as to whether you think it's a good idea to test for my LPN license at the end of this semester, or is it a waste of time and money if I'm going on to get my RN license anyway? I appreciate any opinions, insight, etc. Thank you. :)
