LPN trying to get employed at Orlando Regional

Hey there. To those LPN's working at ORHS (Winnie Palmer, MD Anderson, APH, etc.), how did you get into the hospital system?

Reason I am asking is because I have been applying from June and still haven't heard anything. I do happen to have a close friend of mine that works in Security Svcs who is getting me numbers for nursing managers but I was wondering if there was any other way to at least get an interview? Perhaps a walk-in???

And it's crazy because you see open positions ALL the time which I'm qualified for but either I don't hear back from them or suddenly they state the position is filled :uhoh3:

So any insight would be helpful. Thanks!

eta: I also did my clinicals at ORHS, had a badge and all. So wonder if I can use that as reference.

My husband works in the ED @ ORMC.. He said they normally only hire Techs and people that were already employed there (if the applied position is an LPN) There aren't many there.. Best of luck!! AND KEEP CALLING!!

Call nurse managers. Sometimes you have to be a squeaky wheel to get attention. And sometimes HR depts are slow and not on top of the ball as they should be. Rubbing elbows with a nurse manager usually does the trick if you are truly qualified and good at what you do. :)
