LPN transitioning to PRN agencies

LPN transitioning back from Home Health to LTC's through PRN agencies. 
Which is easier to make the transition? Working 8 or 12 hour shifts? It's the EMR's that's challenging as the LTC's use different platforms/programs for PMR (patient medical records). 
That's the only thing that I find challenging. Any input would greatly be appreciated.
