Maricopa skills center, Southwest skills center....those are the two I know of that are programs not linked to an R.N program. You should be able to pull up info online with typing in those two names......

Specializes in Telemetry, ICU, Psych.

Gateway Community College has one that is similar to the Southwest Skills Center and Maricopa Skills Center (Which is hosted by gateway, but a different site) Gateway's only requires HCC 130 and medical terminology. A class started in Jan, and I think another starts in August. To transfer to an RN program, you would have to take the prerequisites (Anatomy, phys, etc.) after the LPN program. Check out this link: Gateway's fasttrack LPN program; or the program that requires the RN prerequisites to be finished before you start: Gateways LPN exit option program.

Good Luck!

Gateway starts accepting applications on July 1st, 2007 iirc for the January 2008 start date. I wrote it in another thread; if you do a search on my posts you should find it.

Prereqs are HCC130 (3 cr), HCC145AA? (1 cr) -- both can be taken now through Rio. And your CNA license. And then your standard NET, some immunizations, etc. YOU NEED TO HAVE ALL PREREQS COMPLETED PRIOR TO APPLYING TO THEIR LPN FASTTRACK PROGRAM!!!!!
