Would someone PLEASE submit any and all information about Northwestern Institute of Health and Technology LPN program. I would really like to speak with someone who has attended the LPN program and ask a few questions.
I have narrowed my decision to Chamberlain in Addison or NWIHT. I would love to get an ABSN however Chamberlain is over 1.5 - 2.0 hours away from my residence (I'm considering morning traffic and winter). Also, I can get a stafford loan; the total award amount per year appears to not be quite enoungh therefore leaving me to pay more than I can afford out of my pocket.
NWIHT is on 50 - 60 minutes away and less expensive. WIA will pay up to $8000 and I would pay the balance. I know it's an LPN program however I MUST start somewhere and soon. I need to get my foot in the door and pray my place of employement will pay for the RN and MSN. I've completed the CNA certification and presently enrolled in a dialysis and phlebotomy class. I need to work part-time while attending school.
I'm so tired of researching nursing school. I need HELP.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,WIA saidd that they would only pay 5000 max for Any program how did you get them to pay 8000?I don't know much about the school but I did meet a girl at the WIA meeting that was transferring there for Pccti. She said that the hours are very flexible and that you can take your prereq's there. The school is overpriced IMO,but I understand wanting to start soon.Do you have any prereq's done?
When I met with the counseling rep. at the WIA program she informed me that I could receive up to 8K HOWEVER I believe she is including the POET program. POET is similar yet separate from WIA.
I looked into PCCTI as well. NWINT tuition is about the same.
Thanks for responding.
