Basically it's boring. They will have you sign some forms for the school (legal stuff), tell you your schedule, perhaps let you know where your first clinical will be, maybe meet your first semester instructors, and get your reading assignments for the first lecture.
I remember being very excited to and I don't want to be a downer but orientation is normally very boring. Now your first few days of clinicals when all your skills are new and exiting, that's fun. Good luck!
You are going to watch "The Lion King" and do each others hair. There will be a fancy appetizers and a swan carved out of ice. Wear your very best 70's attire if you want to be taken seriously.:artist:
Awesome!! I wish I had gone to your nursing school!!
Its so boring. Here is your dress code, don't act like an idiot, be nice to others, be on time, don't complain. Stuff like that.
Hey! I got my letter saying I was an alternate last week for the lpn program, but am still required to go to orientation. Mine isn't until Aug 2nd, so I'm also wondering what it's like. I will also have to be there the entire day 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. I'm feeling hopeful though! I wish you good luck in your nursing program!
Awesome! yes you are still required to go to the orientation, there were a few alternates in my orientation, and like everyone else said, it is pretty much boring lol, we went over guidelines and procedures, uniforms requirements, class schedules and what not. Dress comfortable and make sure you eat before you go, I was STARVING lol. We also got our syllabus and a list of things we will need for the first day of class. Good luck!
