LPN Salary

Hello,

I plan to start an LPN program in the Tampa Bay area, which also incorporates your CNA license. Once I obtain my cna license, I plan to go to work as a CNA to gain experience before I become an LPN. Would being a CNA for over 6 months qualify me at least as experienced? What would be my starting salary as an new LPN with CNA experience?

No. Only paid nursing experience counts as experience. Depending on the facility you may be considered an internal employee which may get preference for consideration when applying to transfer to an LPN position. Reported starting for a new grad LPN in the Tampa Bay Area ranges from $17-21/hr depending on facility.
