LPN to RN or straight to RN?

I just got my CNA and I'm planning on starting my prereqs for nursing next week. My question is should I get my LPN first and then RN or should I just get a 2yr RN or a 4yr RN? There are so many options and I'm getting to that age where I need to make smart decisions and I'm so excited about actually starting a career. Let me know what the benefits are and what worked for you.

I waited 2 years to get directly into the RN program that I am in (California) and it was a hard wait, but after doing the research, it was the only feasible way for me to go. The LVN programs cost alot of money and when completed and attempting to get your RN, you must hope that people drop out of the regular RN program so that as an LVN you can enter in the 3rd semester.Research is the key. look at all options and all details and what route to take will hopefully become clear. Good luck
