LPN to RN (Oregon)

Published

Hi all, quick question

I'm interested in the LPN program at Pioneer Pacific College, however I might want to further my education down the road--LPN to RN then RN to BSN possibly. I know PPC credits/classes don't transfer to *most* colleges.

I heard awhile back that if you have your LPN license (regardless of credit transfers), take pre-reqs (at given college) you'll be entered into the second year RN program.

Has anyone had any luck obtaining their LPN to RN license from PPC at any other colleges? Is there an online LPN to RN that will accept credits/classes from PPC?

Any information provided is appreciated!

I dont have a much personal experience aside from knowing people who have obtained their LPN through PPC. I know they have had a very difficult time transferring any credits. They also feel a level of regret associated with spending $30,000 on an LPN program.

A student in my BSN program is an LPN with experience, they were given no special treatment and had to start off on day one with everyone else.
