LPN to RN or BSN

Nurses General Nursing

Published

I am studying to be an LPN in Washington State that has Nursing schools that are really hard to get into even if you have a 4.0. I am not very good with sciences but really want to be a nurse. Does anybody know of a RN or BSN program that easy to get into if one is a LPN? I don't really care what state. Of course a school in Oregon would be wonderful.

Thanks.

There are plenty of programs for LPNs desiring to become RNs in Washington. I don't know where you are, but within easy commuting distance of me are Highline Community College (they take 24 LPNs in every fall, not sure how many the other programs do), Renton Technical College, and Clover Park Technical College. Lots of other programs take LPNs in, too. It is typically a lot easier to get into one of these LPN-RN programs than it is to get into a straight ADN program. If you have decent grades, an active LPN license, and all of the pre-reqs done I'm sure you could find a school to accept you here in Washington.

Pacific Lutheran University offers an LPN to BSN program.

Thanks. Do you know if PLU requires the TEAS test for the LPN to BSN Program?

Doesn't look like it. Here's a link to their site. http://www.plu.edu/~nurs/programs/ug_lpn.html
