LPN/Rn bridge programs in Ocala or near from Ohio

U.S.A. Florida

Published

I am wondering if there are many schools in the Ocala area or near there that offer LPN to RN Assoc. Degree. I will be finishing my LPN in June 09 and want to move to Florida after that but I am not sure of the wait of the schools there and how they rate. I also heard that most of the schools down there want you to practice as a LPN before they will take you in their bridge program. Is that true? Also, what is a HESI test? Is that required? I heard it is a test that is harder than state board. I am also not sure to take my boards in Ohio or Florida. I will eventually be living in Fl, just don't know when

Thanks so much for any help

I know you will have to get a license from Florida to practice here. Not too sure about all the details surrounding that, but I am sure someone will reply to this and let you know. =) As for the HESI, it is this test that is similar to the NCLEX and tells you what areas to work on. It helps you, in the long run, prepare for the NCLEX-RN as well as puts you against other nursing students at the same level as you around the country. I do not think it is meant to be harder; I have passed it each time I have taken it. I am not too sure of the programs near Ocala, but I know FCCJ in Jacksonville has an LPN-RN bridge and I am pretty sure it does not require you to work before you go into the program.
