U.S.A. Oregon

Thinking of going to a private college, such as Concorde or Apollo aka Carrington, for LPN. Do you know of any LPN to RN bridge courses that will accept these credits? Preferable an online course would be the best option for me. Thanks for any help.

Here is the description of Lower Columbia College (Longview, WA)for their LPN to RN bridge program (eLearning Option - the online version of the program):

To be eligible for consideration for admission, the applicant must:

have graduated from a state board of nursing approved PN program

hold a current unencumbered license as a practical nurse

have worked a minimum of 1,000 hours as an LPN (verified by a letter on agency

letterhead from the applicant's supervisor or Human Resources Department)

have completed all prerequisite and supportive courses with a grade of C (2.0) or above,

documented by official transcripts, before beginning the program

achieve the minimum scores on the LPN Predictor Exam: (65% Adjusted Individual

Score) and Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) version 4.0: 47 (Individual

Percentile Rank by Program)

I hope this helps

I spoke with a rep from LCCC and she said that they do not accept any courses from the technical schools, but they accept credits from the LPN Community College schools such as Mt Hood CC. Excelsior has an online program that a friend of mine took and he was greatly satisfied, he also received his LPN through Apollo.
